Connelly Rental was created in Gloucester in March 1989 by a young man wanting to further his career opportunities and looking for new challenges. It was a humble beginning for this venture, with only a couple of tools to fill the shelves and two employees, including Mr. Connelly himself. Once this project became reality, the business concentrated on smaller tools. The person who would later become his business partner and mentor (Gratien Proulx), supplied Mr. Connelly with the lift trucks to rent. The idea of a tool rental centre was born from his desire to have his own mechanic shop. It is at the young age of 29 that Mr. Connelly was offered his first chance to achieve his goals by the guidance, advice and support of two great business men that would eventually become his business partners. He worked relentlessly for countless hours to ensure his business's success.
